Overview:
For the most part the books I review are just ones that I have purchased and really liked, I set this blog up so I could write and share my reading experience and perhaps enable others to find some great books to read.
All books reviewed on this blog are my honest opinion and come from books that I have either purchased, borrowed (from the library or friends) or have been obtained from NetGalley, publishers or an author in exchange for a review. I do not accept monetary compensation for reviews on my blog and if I get the book for free I will note this in the review - it will however never impact on how I review said book, I would just like to be as open and honest as possible.
If I am taking the time to review a book that usually means that I liked it and think it was worth sharing. I will not review books that I did not like or did not finish; frankly I don't think that is worth anyone’s time. I like to be as positive as I can but will always point out if there were things that did not work for me. I don't want to put anyone off reading a book because while it may not have been my cup of tea somebody else might love it.
Blogging is a new hobby of mine and I would like to emphasise that I am a reader not a writer, my reviews take me a long time to write because I like them to be as good as I can make them before I publish them and writing does not come easy to me. This means that it takes me a while to post my reviews and I don't post that many. I work full time and my blogging and reading time is somewhat limited. I do sometimes do a mini-review when I have one that I would like to share but don't have the time to write a full review.
Books at kiwgirl reads. . . :
At kiwigirl reads. . . I mostly review Urban Fantasy and I prefer books where the action drives the plot. I do read some paranormal romance if it has a strong plot and I also read a lot of young adult (usually also in the paranormal genre). I do enjoy a bit of Fantasy and Science Fiction and sometimes something different will catch my eye. I'm not really a fan of historical or erotic fiction so I would ask that these types of books not be submitted, anything else in the above genres and subgenres will be considered but will be taken on a case by case basis.
Submissions:
I am happy to have a look at any books which publishers or authors would like reviewed as per genres specified above. I can’t guarantee that it will be something that interests me and I have and will continue to turn away books that do not. I am happy to receive either hardcopy or e-books but due to the fact that I am based out of the US e-books are probably the most convenient. I do not review audio-books.

As stated above please know that this is not my full time job and if I accept your book for review, I will try to get to it as soon as possible. Reviews are posted on my blog with links shared on my facebook page and twitter account. I also post my reviews on Amazon and Goodreads. Reviews are posted once the review is completed (usually one-two weeks after reading or as agreed upon).
